After a minor furnace problem was repaired by another company on our furnace last winter, we decided to carefully research and get bids for replacement of that decades-old furnace and the associated air conditioner. Michael, a Lanz sale person, worked with us over several weeks, answering many deep and detailed questions. He brought on Wes, Lanz engineer, who visited our house a couple of times to come up with a ductwork and equipment solution that addressed our various heating and cooling needs in our house. On installation day, Kevin, and a team of hard-working young guys, removed all of the old equipment inside and out, and did a very nice installation of Wes‘s engineered solution. Kevin is a ductwork fabrication artist and fabricated parts on the fly that fit perfectly. Everybody we worked with at this company was patient, knowledgeable, and readily addressed all of our questions and concerns. You guys were absolutely awesome, thanks for the wonderful job.

Always fast, they get to the bottom of the problem and fix it. Had my ducts cleaned and air conditioner fixed recently, and both services went off without a hitch. Can’t beat the prices either; taking care of your home can be expensive, but it doesn’t mean it has to break the bank.

Will was very personable and fixed our furnace and air conditioner in a very timely manner. He explained everything that he was doing and what parts he would recommend replacing. I gave him the ok and he installed the parts. Systems both work great! He will come back and replace a capacitor in the future. Would definitely recommend Will for any needed repairs.I wish that dispatch would have let me know they received my call and we were on the schedule. I was worried they had misplaced my call.

Technician was able to come out the same day I called. He was friendly, knowledgable, and clearly explained our three options for dealing with our leaking water heater. Cost was clear, and seemed fair. Lanz may not be the cheapest provider, but they are reasonable and our two experiences with them have been good. Both the people they sent (Ron in 2021 and Boston in 2024) were excellent.

Our AC wasn’t working like it was supposed to. We could hear the air blowing but it just wouldn’t get cold enough to bring the temperature down. My husband called Lanz and they got a guy here within the hour and got our AC fixed!! It ended up being that capacitor had pooped out and Matthew was well equipped and got it replaced. He was here all of a hour and the service was fairly priced. Very big thank you to Matthew for helping us out!!

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Lanz, Inc., since 2011, when they installed our new furnace/heat pump units. This has saved us so much money every year on electricity and propane. Love our system, but also enjoy the people that come to do the twice yearly inspection. Today Victor came for our unit’s fall inspection. He was so nice and very knowledgeable in explaining everything he did and things to watch for. This is our 16th inspection, and I am just as confident in the equipment today as I was when it was first installed.04/12/2024. Just had our spring maintenance checkup on our HVAC system. Once again, great service and a knowledgeable and friendly technician. I am never disappointed with Lanz.

David was patient with me as I was dealing with another contractor who was responsible for the bill. Gave David a call back when we got it straightened out and then he was able to close the bill. My wife & I were told by All Pro in Tuscola that we would have to tear up our floor to fix our issue (we have a slab foundation) before we agreed to spend $2000-$5000 I wanted a 2nd opinion. So I called Lanz, Shannon came out only 2 hours after I called. Right away he said with his experience he doesn’t think that’s the case so he got to work. He had the issue fixed within an hour and saved us thousands of dollars. HUGE thank you for Lanz and you’ve gained a life long customer. Thank you very much to Lanz and even more to Shannon! Pretty bad this time. Showed up 1h 20 min after appointment, not knowledgeable. Explained the problem, they “thouched it”, 10 min, left to make a call, came back 50 min later with a quote for 680$ for a simple sump pump replacement they were not ready do do the same day. Paid 79$ service ( money lost) for a joke and 3 hours absence from work.The heating departments at Lanz, excellent. The plumbing…. Run away

Once again Lanz was terrific. This time it was to repair one shower's dial - just a tiny little plastic piece but necessary (the first bathroom). And to install a new shower head (that I had purchased) in the second bathroom. And to fix the slow draining in the second bathroom sink. Service was efficient, on time, pleasant and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I called Lanz at the suggestion of a friend, Sue Gass, who recommended them. The gentleman who came to deal with my issue (leaky toilet, identifying whole house water shut off) was named Boston Williams. What a great guy! He was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He gave us multiple opportunities to ask queations and gave us great information. I try to support local since I live in Coles County, but my recent service from locals was less than satisfactory. I am so relieved to know that Lanz will be my go-to for all my plumbing, heating and cooling needs. I highly recommend Lanz!

Very skillful installation of a lot of new equipment. A heat pump water heater, an in-line dehumidifier, and a fresh air ventilation unit from Build Equinox have really changed the air quality of our house. Your mileage may vary, but in our early 1900’s house the bathrooms don’t steam up anymore, and the second floor isn’t 10 degrees hotter than the first floor. Mark helped us put together the plan for the plumbing upgrades, and Michael, Kevin, and Wes handled the ventilation. But there was also a whole team of installers who did a great job shlepping heavy equipment and making it work. It’s not easy work, but they made it easy for me.

Having septic problems. Everyone at their Underground Solutions part of the business is worthy of high praise. They are truly helping me determine MY best solution, not theirs. Honesty and integrity are high on my list. Big thumbs up for these guys.I also have used Lanz for my HVAC system for a number of years now. They recently installed a new heat pump and furnace in Nov-2023. The sales person, Kurt Fletcher, was terrific. Knowledgeable, friendly, personable. I was also impressed with the install team. 4 guys that seemed to take pride in their work. They cleaned up afterwards too. And Thomas Jordan, the tech who did the follow up check was great too!One more shout out to Thomas Jordan who came out today (Feb-2024) to help me iron out a problem with the humidifier. He's a great tech.
