Lanz Heating & Cooling Helps Out

Wednesday, September 12th, 2012

All of us at Lanz Heating and Cooling believe it is crucial for us to be a part of the east central Illinois communities we work and live in. I know how busy everyone can be today. You have to get the kids ready for school, go to work, run errands, practice after school, fix dinner, help with homework, clean the house, do the laundry, and anything else that may come up during the day.

It has been my privilege this past year to play a role in the support of some great organizations that may have had an impact on your life as well. We raised funds and awareness for the Susan G Komen Foundation, by placing pink stickers on furnaces (see video testimonials in support of our efforts), and currently we are working  Special Olympics of Illinois, to assist them with an upcoming golf outing.

I would like to recognize those of you that take time from your busy schedules to help your communities as well. It’s important that we do our parts, and that our kids learn from our examples. Thanks for all you do, to make your community a better place.

Special Olympics Golf Outing Fundraiser!

Friday, August 24th, 2012

On October 1st the Special Olympics will be holding their 2012 Golf Outing at Lincoln Shire Golf Course.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 am sponsored by Lanz Heating and Cooling.  T- Off will be at noon.

We are looking for teams of 4 to participate in the outing.  Each team  of 4 is $500.00 or $125.00 for a single golfer. All proceeds go the Special Olympics organization.

If you are unable to golf that day, we are also asking our friends, families, customers, and business partners to sponsor a golfer per hole.  You can donate .50, 1.00, or even 3.00 per hole.

Also, if you or anyone you know would be interested in doing a cheer video, we would  be happy to come by and video tape that for you!  This could be some words of encouragement for all of the Special Olympic athletes for this specific event or just for their lives in general.  If you are feeling creative please feel free to create/make up a cheer as well.

This is  a wonderful organization and a perfect opportunity for all of us to make a difference in some very special lives.

Check Presented to Susan G. Komen Foundation

Friday, June 1st, 2012

We did it! We raised over $2,000 in funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation with the support of all of our loyal customers ($2,125 to be exact!). Our pledge was to donate $25 for every customer that displayed a pink Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure maintenance sticker on their HVAC system. That means that 85 of you took to the challenge and made the effort to display your sticker and even let us take VIDEO of you testifying your support. Thank you all so much for the effort. Here’s to finding a cure for breast cancer and all cancer!

Help Central Illinois Honor Flight

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

Central Illinois Honor Flights offers free flights for veterans to the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. In the spirit of giving this holiday season, please consider donating time or money to this great cause. We are all grateful to our WW II veterans, and the opportunity to see the memorial constructed in their honor is very meaningful for them. You can volunteer as a Guardian to accompany our veterans to the memorial and ensure they have a safe and memorable experience. You can also donate your time by helping with fundraising, outreach, or administrative support.  Your monetary donations go towards paying for airfare so that our veterans travel completely free.

For more information about ways you can help this great cause, check out their website: http://www.centralillinoishonorflight.org/index.htm

Donate Today to Toys for Tots!

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

Help out your community by donating to Toy for Tots this holiday season! We are sponsoring this gift drive to collect new, unwrapped toys ($10 & Up) for children in need. While all donations are appreciated, we have a shortage of gifts for boys and girls ages 13-18, so we would be especially thankful for gifts for that age group. Things like dvds, hobby kits, and cosmetics are perfect gift ideas for young teens.  And, of course, younger children love toys! Thank you for helping the kids in our community have a great Christmas!

We are accepting donations through December 5th, so please don’t hesitate to donate today!
